Course Objectives

The student completing this course will: Develop an appreciation of tap dance as an important component of American dance theatre Develop basic rhythmic awareness Develop awareness of basic form in traditional American popular show music Develop agility, dexterity, and poise Develop specific skills in the execution of beginning level tap dance techniques and steps noted in the topical outline for the course
