Student Teaching in Secondary School Mathematics
Course Description
Supervised mathematics teaching in a secondary school.
Additional Requirements for Graduate Students: Graduate students will assume instructional responsibility
earlier in the semester and may assume that responsibility for
a longer duration of time. Placements may involve more daily
preparations. Weekly reflections from graduate students are
expected to be more thorough and show evidence of connections
to the literature of practice and/or scholarship.

10 weeks of supervised student teaching in mathematics (Grades 7-12), including at least 2 weeks of full-time teaching

Meeting weekly with all student teachers and mentors in the school

Making two videotapes of yourself and discussing them with mentor and supervisor
