Course Description

Materials, techniques, and objectives for teaching introductory undergraduate courses in religious studies. Particular attention given to presenting lectures, leading discussions, constructing examinations, incorporating instructional technology, and dealing with issues of classroom management.

Course Objectives

1. Assist first-time teachers of religious studies. 2. Raise awareness of effective strategies of teaching at the University level. 3. Introduce resources for instructional technology and instructional development.

1. What does it mean to be a good teacher at the University level? 2. Strategies for teaching Religious Studies. 3. Classroom basics (lectures, discussions, examinations) 4.
