Course Description
Digital modeling, texture, rendering, and lighting of stage design for theater or corporate events. Students use free versions of Vectorworks™ and Renderworks™ software running on the student’s own laptop.
Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students will, in addition, model and light a digital
representation of one of their own realized set designs or set
design for a production on which they collaborated as assistant
designer, lighting designer, or costume designer.

Course Objectives
1. Students will learn to create digital 3-D models of scenic designs for the stage or corporate events 2. Students will learn to create digital 3-D stage lighting simulations 3. Students will learn how to generate and edit 2-D design rendering of 3-D models using standard image processing software 4. Students will complete portfolio-quality digital renderings of scenic designs
