Course Description
Antiquity to 20th century modes of costume, coiffure, and adornment as reflected by societal trends for use in entertainment design.
Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
In-depth research on specific plays/musicals in weekly research
folders (undergraduates are required to only research general).
Also, in-class presentations prepared on specific topical
questions as they relate to the periods covered.

Course Objectives
1. Students will be introduced to techniques in research for historical periods. 2. Students will learn proper silhouettes for clothing and adornment for each period. 3. Students will learn proper hair modes for each period. 4. Students will gather photo documentation morgue for each period for future reference.
