Course Objectives
This course is a continuation of MATH 5200/7200. Students will continue the study of Hilbert's axioms of geometry. Students taking this course will understand how mathematics is developed from axioms. Students will also be introduced to transformation geometry. They will understand that certain geometric properties are invariant under the action s of rigid motions. The deeper understanding of geometry students receive in this course should prove applicable to the teaching of geometry in high school.
