Course Objectives

1. To develop an understanding of the types of mechanical systems, how they function and their influence upon the design of residential buildings. 2. To develop the ability to read and design lighting and mechanical plans. 3. To create an awareness of the environmental factors related to building systems and explore sustainable options. 4. To become aware of the influence that building systems have upon the physical and psychological well being of individuals and learn design techniques to meet these needs.
