Structure-property relationship of polymer solutions, the polymer in amorphous and crystalline states, polymer networks, and hydrogels. Major examples of polymer materials applications for commodity plastics and advanced materials (fibers, fabrics, coatings, films, biomaterials, and sustainable materials).

Course Objectives
1. To familiarize the students with the basic concepts of the physics and physical chemistry of polymeric materials, such as polymer structures, polymer structure-property relationship, polymer rheology, and mechanical and thermal properties 2. To demonstrate major principles and criteria used in practical applications of the polymeric materials
