Course Objectives

Knowledge of German grammar. Ability to read, write, and converse in German, about cultural and other topics of general interest, at the intermediate level.

1. Comprehensive review of German grammar. 2. Recent German history: facts, developments, and issues. 3. Youth culture and leisure time activities in Germany. 4. Studying and working in German-speaking countries. 5. Multiculturalism in Germany. 6. Environmental protection in Germany: issues and policies. 7. Getting around in Germany: travel and transportation. 8. Mass media in Germany.
