Student Learning Outcomes
Students will analyze the foundational theories and concepts within women’s and gender studies, and critically reflect on your own perspectives on these issues.
Students will describe, examine, and analyze interlocking systems of power and how they shape the diverse lived experiences of women in the U.S. in contemporary and historical contexts.
Students will develop critical thinking skills and apply critical literacy to examine information and analyze text, media, and literature about race, gender, sexuality.
Students will develop and support ideas in discussion and written form to communicate effectively about politically engaged issues around race, gender, sexuality and body with people of different backgrounds in a respectful manner.
