Course Objectives

This course is intended to introduce students to the dynamics of the global economy. Both thematic and comparative approaches will be employed.


Topical Outline

Major topics that will be covered in this course include: historical development of globalization, impact of the global economy on domestic and international politics, influence of globalization on the democratization process worldwide, and distribution of economic benefits under the global economy.
