Course Description
Leadership lab is a dynamic and integrated grouping of leadership developmental activities designed to meet the needs and expectations of prospective Air Force second lieutenants and to complement the Air Force ROTC academic program. Lab is a student-planned, organized and executed practicum conducted undet the supervision of the detachment commander and commandant of cadets.

Course Objectives
Provide cadets scheduled to attend field training with the mental and physical skills needed to succeed in the Air Force ROTC field training environment.
Topical Outline
1)Know effective followership skills; 2) Know the benefits of teamwork and communication; 3) Demonstrate individual and flight drill movements; 4) Know the environment of an AF officer; 5) Apply the AFOATS Training Guide philosophy in instructing AS100s; 6) Know and demonstrate guidon procedures; 7) Demonstrate flag raising and lowering procedures for reveille and retreat; 8) Know flight commander commands, positions, and movements; 9) Know and demonstrate road guard procedures; 10) Know the procedures and requirements of field training; 11) Meet required AFROTC weight and fitness standards; 12) Apply AF customs and courtesies; 13) Apply AF dress and grooming standards; 14) Participate in an activity that demonstrates unit formal dinner customs and procedures; 15) Participate in a unit formal reveille/retreat; 16) Participate in a unit formal parade; 17) Participate in a unit formal awards ceremony.
