Course Objectives
This seminar will provide a doctoral-level examination of inductive statistics and the analysis of data. The course will combine an advanced treatment of statistical inference and sampling distributions with an applied data analysis focus. Concepts such as the binomial distribution and the t distribution will be presented in detail along with approaches to point and interval estimation. Students are expected to develop a sophisticated understanding of these issues that moves beyond introductory coverage. Analytical techniques appropriate for nominal, ordinal, and interval scales will be evaluated.
