Student learning Outcomes

  • The student will be able to analyze mechanical principles involved in golf swing.
  • The student will be able to tell why flight of ball may curve right or left.
  • The student will be able to perform these shots: chip, pitch, putt, sand, irons, woods, fairway woods.

  • 1. Proper techniques in these will be taught: a. chip shot b. putting c. pitch shot d. sand shot e. iron play f. driving g. fairway woods h. trouble shots
  • 2. Proper way to play a golf hole
  • 3. Analyze a video tape of own golf swing
  • 4. Perform on the golf course what is learned on the practice area
  • 5. Demonstrate competence in health-related fitness knowledge topics such as cardiorespiratory fitness, muscle strength and endurance, flexibility, nutrition, stress management, behavior modification, and wellness.
