Course Objectives
This course is intended to complement Lessons in Leadership. This particular course will take a strategic leadership perspective on organizations and seek to develop students' leadership skills in taking a strategic view of organizations. This course is based on the observation that the leadership needs of organizations vary by the stage of the organization's existence and tailors the skills developed through these evolving leadership needs. This course takes you through the stages of an organization's leadership needs, plus looking at specific situations such as leading in crisis. We will focus on identifying and building leadership skills, and this course should enable students to identify which organizational lifestage best fits their preferred leadership style, facilitating appropriate career choices.
