Course Objectives
Course objectives will be dependent on the nature of the directed study. In every case, however, it is expected that a summary will be submitted to the faculty directing the study for purposes of evaluating achievement.
Topical Outline
This course is designed for directed in study in any of the following areas: 1) in-depth investigation of cases discussed in Clinical Food Animal Medicine or Clinical Food Animal Medicine rounds; 2) preparation and library research leading to the definition, hypothesis, and research plan for an applied clinical research study; 3) development of large and complex modeling exercises arising from epidemiology, food animal economics or food animal disease courses; 4) scholarly development required to prepare and submit for publication case studies or clinical trials; 5) and directed demonstration of MFAM skills not fully addressed by other program coursework.
