Using multicultural education research articles, chapters, and books; familiarization of seminal multicultural education research studies; and a critical analysis of the research done in one area are the foci of the course.

Course Objectives
1. To aid students to develop their knowledge and skills about the influential research in multicultural education and to outline barriers to multicultural education research. 2. To facilitate students' construction of the causes that hinder multicultural education research. Discuss some of the prominent research themes in multicultural education research. 3. To assist students in understanding the ways in which research has been used to support oppression and structural inequities that exist in their own lives. 4. To help students conduct multicultural education research projects in their areas of study.
