Course Description
Physical training and practical applications of duties and responsiblities of United States Army 2LT's. Analysis of military principles and doctrine by studying an actual battle and conducting a battle staff ride.

Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: Understand the scope of Army ROTC with emphasis on the role of today’s Army, officer ship, leadership, and values. Perform basic skills including repelling, and be familiar with military weapons, and unit organization. Overcome fear and other obstacles to lead others. (Repelling is just one of the exercises used to teach mentally and physically the importance of team-work and leadership.) Upon successful completion of this course the cadet/student will have an overview of the purpose and scope of Army ROTC, with emphasis on the role of today’s Army, officer ship, leadership, and values.
