Course Objectives
Students will be introduced to the fundamental concepts of dance in an experiential setting. Students will learn about pedagogical methods and principles for teaching creative movement to children, and apply those methods in the creative dance class setting. Students will obtain experience in leading creative movement activities for their peers and for children in the local community. Students will learn about basic developmental principles and apply these principles to creative movement lessons. Students will learn about creative movement for special needs children.
Topical Outline
