Teaching methods and strategies, including organization, management, and assessment of skills in activities such as, but not limited to, aerobic dance, cross country/trail running, and tumbling/gymnastics.

Course Objectives

Students will be able to: 1. Identify basic skills for multiple individual physical activities and create developmentally appropriate learning sequences. 2. Demonstrate with competence basic skills of multiple individual physical activities through participation in scheduled classes. 3. Demonstrate the value and appreciation of student differences while participating in and instructing others in individual activities. 4. Follow safety procedures while participating in multiple individual activities. 5. Demonstrate understanding of skill, strategy, and the affective value of multiple individual activities. 6. Know and apply the rules of participating efficiently and effectively in multiple individual physical activities. 7. Demonstrate teaching approaches for teaching multiple individual physical activities in K-12 physical education programs.
