Course Objectives

Students will: 1. Define assessment outcomes and program evaluation. 2. Articulate the purpose of assessment. 3. Describe history, diverse ideologies and politics of assessment and program evaluation. 4. Analyze the pros and cons of particular assessment research methods and instruments. 5. Utilize assessment results to inform decisions relative to continuous improvement. 6. Understand the role of program assessment in the accreditation process.
