  • Students can describe the roles and chain of command of an artist’s manager, agent, attorney, business manager and publicist in terms of (1) their relationship to a musical artist, and (2) their execution of business responsibilities.
  • Students can explain the various types of contractual arrangements related to live musical performance. distribution models, and publishing technologies and trends.
  • Students can distinguish between the various types recording contracts and can articulate the difference between types of royalty payments.
  • Students can explain the different types of music publishing contractual arrangements.
