Course Description
The scientific study of the interactions of organisms in an agricultural ecosystem. Emphasis will be placed on how understanding these interactions can promote agricultural sustainability.

Course Objectives
1. Utilize laboratory experiences and techniques to obtain basic principles of ecology as they relate to agroecosystems. 2. Apply scientific methodology to formulate hypotheses, design experiments, and evaluate results to sustain agroecological systems.

Introduction; writing laboratory reports; sampling populations/statistics; crop ecophysiology; intra- and interspecific competition; biodiversity; seed ecology and seed banks; environmental factors of agroecosystems; field trips.
