Course Objectives
The objective of this course is to provide a mechanism for POPH residents and graduate students to become proficient in management issues relating to maintaining the health of animal populations. Each semester, the course will focus on managment-specific issues relevant to either swine, beef, poultry, dairy, wildlife or lab animal populations.

Specific topics will vary based on animal population but may include any of the following. 1. Introduction to population health 2. Issues relevant to managing populations 3. Diseases of animal populations 4. Preventative medicine and management 5. Diagnostics 6. Epidemiology 7. Communicating management decisions 8. Veterinary Public Health
