Course Description
Focus on the international nonprofit sector and investigation of the role of nonprofits in cross-national and international provision of public goods. Students will become familiar with the scope of INGO engagement, the influence of globalization on nonprofit organization and development, accountability structures for international organizations, and international laws affecting their function. Special issues of ethics and culture that pertain to international nonprofit practice will also be considered.

Course Objectives
Give students an understanding of special issues that pertain to international nonprofit governance and management. Outline international accountability structures and international laws governing nonprofit provision across national borders. Familiarize students with issues of ethics and the cultural considerations involved in cross-cultural aid and development. Explore different development versus aid strategies used by international nonprofit organizations.
