Critical Feminist Readings


Course Description

Students will learn basic methods of feminist critical reading. This will prepare them to better read and understand feminist theory. Topics will include feminist critical thinking, media literacy and criticism, and text interpretation, including both written and multimedia texts.

Student Learning Outcomes

  • Students will be better prepared going into the feminist theories course to read high level theory.
  • In addition to reading and interpretation of texts, students will be asked to give oral presentations of critical feminist perspectives and to improve critical writing skills.
