Course Description
Data collection, interpretation, and presentation techniques using visual design tools to facilitate and influence decision- making in diverse aspects of daily life. Projects include the development and administration of surveys and the organization, analysis, and presentation of quantitative information. Emphasis is placed on the role of the visual arts in decision- making.

1. Demonstrate basic understanding of surveys and quantitative information gathering 2. Understand basic statistical analyses: Make inferences and find relationships 3. Decipher the use of one data set to portray opposing views as fact 4. Use matrices, charts, and diagrams to analyze, interpret, and manage quantitative information 5. Understand the use and misuse of various forms of cognitive art 6. Create and present visual narratives of quantitative information that support written analysis
