Course Description
Electronic music composition techniques, focusing on composing stereo and quadraphonic fixed-media works, music for fixed-media and instrument, and the study of electroacoustic music circa 1948 to today.
Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students will propose an additional project (or modify
an existing project) to either connect course content to an
outside field of creative media, or extend project requirements
to more advanced applications of technology.

Course Objectives
Students will: 1. become comfortable composing in an electronic music studio environment 2. become familiar with the history and current trends in electronic music 3. develop a deeper understanding of acoustics, digital audio, synthesis, and other studio technologies.
