Upon completion of this course, the successful student will be able to identify visually and write scales, keys, triads, intervals, and chords,
Upon completion of this course, the successful student will be able to write accompaniment to given melodies in two or four parts,
Upon completion of this course, the successful student will be able to compose short works using the materials learned in a number of different musical styles.
Upon completion of this course, the successful student will be able to identify patterns in simple musical excerpts using roman numerals and appropriate non-harmonic tone designation, drawing on all prior musical instruction including knowledge being learned in other courses such as applied music and class piano, leading to appropriate interpretation of the data.
