Course Objectives

This course seeks to acquaint senior Plant Biology graduate students with teaching methods useful in lecture and discussion courses they will be teaching as future faculty.


Topical Outline

The topical outline for this course includes designing syllabi with teaching goals and learning objectives, developing effective learning activities for lectures and labs, assessing student learning, and incorporating research on teaching and learning. Participants will prepare materials for the courses they plan on teaching as future faculty.
