Course Description

Paradigms, concepts, and methodologies of critical, cultural, and naturalistic approaches to mass communication research. Emphasis on ethnography, case study, interviewing, life history, textual analysis, and field observation. Research design and techniques of data collection, analysis, and presentation are studied within the context of mass communication institutions, messages, and audiences.
