Selected topics in family and consumer sciences. Combined with national or international site visits to relevant locations.
Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students will meet regularly with director to discuss
cultural differences and the impact culture has on their
research. They will prepare a summary paper and present this
work to the undergraduates. Some graduate students may collect
research data or have an applied work experience while in the
foreign country.

Course Objectives
Students will learn from lecture and experience through field trips, the life and culture of the country they are visiting, with focus in their respective majors. This experience combined with courses in Family and Consumer Sciences programs of study will expand their classroom knowledge into different cultures or applied to industry or government. Student Expectations: 1. Students must attend all lectures and take notes. 2. Students must attend all field trips and cultural events. 3. Students will complete papers and comprehensive assignments.
