Course Objectives
1) Provide rigorous training in historiography, methodology, and thematic approaches to U.S. history for graduate students pursuing advanced degrees in order to prepare for a career as a teacher, academic, researcher, policymaker, or professional in a related field; 2) Develop professional skills in reading, writing, and discussing U.S. history.
