Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to: Demonstrate: - a fundamental understanding of the origins, concepts, and definition of systems engineering - a fundamental understanding of the major phases of systems engineering (such as integration, functional analysis, requirement development, optimization, design, life cycle) - an understanding of how measures of effectiveness can be used in evaluating alternative system designs with respect to system requirements and specifications - an understanding of the need for models for economic evaluation of systems Gain experience: - working in teams to solve complex problems - writing professional quality reports
