Intermediate Pashto I


Course Description

Continuation of Elementary Pashto I and II. Oral fluency and development of writing and reading skills in Pashto. Taught by the use of vocabulary in simulated settings through repetition drills, frequent use of vocabulary, acting, and reading aloud. Augmented by reading, translation, and discussion in Pashto of Pashto texts.

Course Objectives

The objectives of the course are to help students to: 1- read Pashto texts of intermediate level I difficulty. 2- communicate and converse in Pashto on a variety of topics and understand spoken Pashto in everyday situations. 3- write intermediate narrative style paragraphs coherently and with reasonable accuracy. 4- develop cultural awareness through additional readings and class discussions.
