Students will be able to write a design program for a specific site based upon analysis of existing opportunities and constraints.
Students will be able to apply earthwork and storm water management techniques to a specific site.
Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of construction surveying and layout techniques by creating a construction layout plan.
Students will be able to create a planting plan that demonstrates an understanding of planting design, proper selection based upon site conditions, horticultural principles, and design objectives.
Students will be able to identify and explain basic construction techniques.
Students will be able to identify and apply new construction technologies to their design solutions.
Students will be able to calculate quantities of materials needed to build a specific design and calculate overall construction costs.
