Survey of research methods with an emphasis on biomedical sciences as they relate to biomedical and health sciences to enhance directed study and undergraduate research participation and CURO/BHSI thesis/project preparation.

Course Objectives

Become familiar with research opportunities on and off campus. Develop individual goals and hone research interests. Develop interpersonal skills necessary in a research environment. Learn strategies to deal with ethical and responsible conduct in research. Learn to critique scientific data published in primary literature. Learn to communicate scientific findings to peers. Develop a scientific question and formulate a research proposal. Become familiar with current career opportunities in biomedical and health sciences. Learn to construct Curriculum Vitae.
