Course Objectives

Provide prospective teachers with information and experiences that will enable them to make informed instructional decisions to teach children in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade Five to read. Provide prospective teachers with information and experiences that will enable them to utilize formal and informal methods for assessing children's reading ability and planning instruction.
