Students in this course will study recording industry projects.
Students will learn how to manage the overall scope of a
recording project from initial concept to completion, as well
as modern recording studio techniques. There will be both
lectures and hands-on studio practice.

Student Learning Outcomes
The Music Production student will be able to demonstrate and employ the technical skills required to devise, capture, produce and distribute a piece of music from inception to completion employing skills acquired from this course.
The Music Production student will be able to operate, record and organize the capture, edit and mix of a musical performance utilizing the Avid Pro Tools software suite.
The Music Production student will discuss and employ the various elements of the recording studio including microphones, equalizers and amplifiers as well as identify appropriate methods for managing affiliated musicians and personnel.
