Theoretical and applied introduction to the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training for adults in organizations. Emphasis on instructional strategies/techniques that facilitate adult learning and delivery and facilitation of adult learning and training programs.

Course Objectives
Upon completion of the course, students should be able to: • Recognize and name key concepts and scholarship significant to Training & Development. • Identify core competencies required of workplace educators. • Understand the context of workplace education. • Identify when training is an appropriate intervention. • Apply adult education principles in workplace education contexts. • Apply the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) to design effective Training & Development programs. • Learn how to create and facilitate active training sessions through use of an array of instructional strategies for effective adult learning. • Deliver and facilitate training programs.
