Course Description

Investigation of a special topic not otherwise covered in the curriculum. Topics and instructors vary from one semester to the next.

Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Using primary sources, graduate students will write an in-depth analysis of a particular trend or issue in musicology.

Upon completion of the course, the successful student will be able to: * discuss and/or write on the selected topics in the language of the discipline; * cite and be able to critique the principal research sources pertaining to the topic.
