This is a mentored, directed study online course for veterinarians focusing on poultry medicine. Students will, with major professor input, select a husbandry problem to address in a poultry industry farm setting.

Course Objectives
This is an independent online study course designed to teach veterinarians how to develop a management plan targeting their home country’s poultry husbandry practices. At the conclusion of the course, veterinarians are expected to be proficient in describing existing management systems and implementing a production plan for the management of commercial poultry populations.
Topical Outline
With direction of poultry health mentor, veterinarian will: 1. Identify a health management issue in breeder husbandry, incubation, genetics or nutrition 2. Describe the issue and design a plan for investigation of the situation 3. Collect poultry health information relevant to the investigation plan 4. Prepare project report to be included in final thesis
