Course Objectives
The objective of this online course is to educate veterinarians on the application of health and economic surveys to improve poultry production efficiency and profitability. At the conclusion of the online course, veterinarians are expected to be proficient in the practical application of health program financial analysis.
Topical Outline
With direction of the poultry health mentor, the veterinarian will take a health survey from one of this semester’s topics and apply it to the company or farmer's financial bottom line. 1. Collect poultry health or nutritional information from a specific poultry industry/farm relevant to the project 2. Perform a financial analysis in regard to the nutrition or health issue 3. Prepare project report to be included in final thesis
