Course Description
Prepares students for opportunities in the personal training fields by providing theoretical and practical knowledge of the physiological, functional, and biomechanical aspects of designing and supervising strength and conditioning programs for various populations. Students are prepared to successfully complete national personal training certification.

Course Objectives
• Design a comprehensive fitness program to meet the individual needs of any client you may see in a fitness facility • Instruct and cue a client through an integrated exercise training program • Determine what is good information and bad information circulating in media about resistance training and fitness • Demonstrate knowledge of content areas • Be confident in one’s facilitation and communication skills • Determine appropriate instances to refer patients/clients to other specialties
