Course Description
An intense, practical application of the techniques necessary to rehearse and perform one of Shakespeare's plays for public presentation.
Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students will be required to assistant direct, stage
manage, or company manage. In addition, graduate students will
be expected to deliver a presentation to the class regarding
Shakespearean scholarship, history of performance, or
additional approaches to performing the material.

Course Objectives
Students will learn: 1. the special demands of performing Shakespeare 2. analyzing, rehearsing, and performing roles from the Shakespeare canon 3. to develop skill in scansion of blank verse (iambic pentameter) 4. to develop physical size necessary to perform larger-than- life characters in Shakespeare.
