Course Description

Performance of choral literature for mixed voices from all periods of music history, including sacred, secular, folk, and popular music.

Additional Requirements for Graduate Students:
Graduate students will be required to occasionally lead rehearsals and mentor undergraduates.

Course Objectives

The students will be able to: 1. Demonstrate technical and musical skills required for successful performance in a choral ensemble. 2. Demonstrate knowledge of the selected repertoire in terms of performance practice, stylistic elements, and historical and cultural contexts.
