Laboratory experience in mechanical systems and materials. Focus
on instrumentation needed, comparing results with theoretical
predictions, recognizing acceptable discrepancies between
experimental and theoretical results, and providing viable
explanations of these discrepancies. Procedures and tools for data
collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation are
reviewed.
