Course Description

Reviews research on the behavioral outcomes that tend to serve as dependent variables in organizational behavior research. Such behaviors underlie broad organizational concerns about employee performance, effectiveness, and retention. The seminar will also review methodological and theoretical issues relevant to behavioral constructs.

To enable the student to understand the major behavioral constructs in organizational behavior through in-depth discussions of the literature. To enable the student to assess the strengths and limitations of existing work on behavioral constructs in organizational behavior. To provide the student with the methodological and theoretical skills to conduct primary research on behavioral constructs in organizational behavior.
