Lecture/studio in the use of geographic information systems software for the development of environmental design and land planning projects.

Course Objectives
At the end of the semester with the new skills, knowledge, and values taught in this course the students will be able to: • Understand and apply a variety of concepts in spatial analysis and raster data • Solve complex problems make decisions and apply a variety of GIS methods to accomplish the decision-making process • Have a basic understanding of other resources outside GIS (LiDAR, satellite imagery, and other) that can be used in conjunction with GIS analyses • Be proficient and self-sufficient in GIS methods, tools, processes that they can use in their research or practicum
