Course Objectives
By the end of this course, students should have learned: 1. About the domain of social psychology with emphasis on critical evaluation of research 2. How people are influenced by both other people and the situations in which they find themselves 3. That, to a larger extent than commonly recognized, people's responses are shaped by the immediate features of their social situations, rather than merely reflecting their individual personalities 4. That personality factors interact with social situations to produce behavior 5. About the ways in which the study of social behavior is (and is not) scientific 6. How to understand and appreciate an empirical study in behavioral science
